SUMMARY:WEBINAR Biz Basics: Accounting: The Basics of the Language of Business
DESCRIPTION:\nAccounting is the system of tracking the income\, expenses\, assets and liabilities of business. Owners\, managers\, bankers\, investors – use accounting terms and concepts to describe the events that make up the “story”. This workshop will explain the basics of how to make journal entries including debits and credits\, the structure of financial statements\, important financial ratios\, and\, more importantly\, how to “account” for the transactions in your business. \nInstructor: Andrew Strachan (SBDC Advisor) has many years of financial analysis expertise. He served as financial analyst/VP of finance for over 20 years in the U.S. and Europe\, following an earlier career at two start-ups. Andrew leverages his experience for the benefit of his SBDC clients\, as he assists them with financial model development\, financial statement creation and review\, along with strategy development\, business planning and working with investors (pitch deck review\, business plan\, presentations). He is bilingual in English and French. \n\nInstructions: \nPlease log in using the name you registered with to ensure you receive the presentation and/or after webinar materials.
