Each year businesses around the world experience thousands of crises—anything from the fallout from mismanagement to interruptions resulting from tornadoes, legal action, work stoppages, and yes, pandemics. Being prepared for the inevitable is something every business owner should take seriously. In Part One of our Crisis Management workshop, we will look at how to scan your business environment for potential problems that could lead to a crisis and then build a personalized crisis management plan.

Research has shown that many of these crises could have been avoided if business owners had taken the proper steps early on. In Part Two of this Crisis Management workshop series, we consider a case study of a small business owner and discuss the basics of crisis management, preparedness, team building and plan evaluation.
